We're sad...

No - sike! We're ok. After he takes a bath he's chilled out a bit.

Mom is dumb and tries to take pictures of herself and Cowboy Warren when no one is home. This is the only one thats even decent. There are 10 other attempts to use the timer, and they're all at least slightly messed up.

January for the Dixes

So January meant that Taylor went back to school and Stephanie went back to work at the bank. We've been able to work a little system where Taylor stays with Warren in the mornings and I go to work. Then at noon, I come home and Taylor heads to school. I can't think of a sweeter set-up. They get their "man-time" in the morning, and I get dressed and out the door before 11AM :) It's been really hard trying to finish things I used to do at work because I'm only there 20 hours. But it's still really great. They've been more than nice to me in letting me work the hours I can. Taylor's schedule at school is awesome. He has a few big papers to write by the end of the semester, but that means less time in class. He's able to be home a ton, and its really fun. Sad that in a year and a half we'll be real grown ups and Warren and I will have to wait until dad comes home from work to play with him. But then we'll have money...so there's the upside! But then we won't have cute pictures like these...

We love our Iowa Hawks!

Baby works with Dad on the computer. He gets a kick out of staring at the screen. Hopefully we aren't burning holes in his retinas!

He's getting to look much more like a little boy. It makes me sad that he's going to grow up.

He's come close to getting the whole thing in there - he'll just have to keep practicing. It's funny to watch him struggle and grunt trying to eat his entire hand, though.

Uncle Wray

We got a quick visit from Uncle Wray. Warren is now the proud owner of a Tickle Me Elmo Extreme. If you haven't seen one, they're awesome. (And so what if he doesn't know it exists yet. For now, mom will play with it.)

Warren's blessing

On January 7th, Warren Czakary was blessed at church. Both Grandmas and Grandpas were here for the weekend. We had a great time with everyone here and everyone shared our little boy without any squabbles. :)

Gordon and Chrissy come to Iowa!

These two yahoos were visiting Chrissy's family in Kansas City and came up for a day to visit. We had a great time, and now Warren only needs to meet Aunt Emily, Uncle Wray and Grandpa Bob.

Christmas at the Warczaks

Taylor and I recently decided to move our little family to Denver this summer while Taylor takes an internship at a law firm there. This probably means we'll be moving there permanently after he graduates in 2008. This made Stephanie a little homesick for the Northwest. We hadn't planned on going anywhere for the holidays, but we found a good deal on tickets home so we decided to make the trip. But we didn't tell my family we were coming and it was so fun to surprise them. We had my friend, Kim, pick us up from the airport and just rang the doorbell when we pulled up. It was really fun introducing Warren to his grandpa, 2 uncles, and aunt. Grandma Kathy had already visited us in Iowa, so she was the only familiar face. We had a great relaxing vacation - Warren slept through all 4 flights and we told him we'd reward him with something when he gets a little older.
