Church Halloween Party

This Saturday we had a trial run for the real Halloween - the ward party and "Trunk-or-Treat". It was a lot of fun seeing all the little kids in their cute costumes. And some of the grown ups had some good ones, too. A great warm up for Wednesday. When Warren turns 1 and we get the Halloween good times rolling!Too bad our dry ice ran out before we took a picture...we take Halloween very seriously.
Taylor thinks he's too cool for a costume. But he picked W's outfit out, so he gets one point.

I dressed up, so I get 100 points.

Hanging out with Ben and Mama Sunny Street. Warren thinks he's soft...

This is Warren. He LOVES to wander and run away from us.

Temple and some Pumpkins

Yesterday we headed down to Nauvoo, IL to attend the temple. It was much needed - we hadn't been since we came back from Denver. I love the feelings of peace and closeness with Taylor and my Heavenly Father while I'm there. We had some people from our ward watching kids and Warren was an angel for them. I love this kid!

It was FINALLY sunny this weekend, and after the temple we headed to Kathy's Pumpkin Patch in Donnellson, IA. It was a really great place. Warren was too young to enjoy most of the activities, but he liked just walking around, seeing all the kids, riding in the wagon, and hanging out in the patch. We got some good pumpkins - ones with character. I love LOVE love Halloween, so our pumpkins can't be any ordinary ones. We are going to have some awesome jack o lanterns come next week!

It was pretty windy.

I love the wagon!

Slim Fast

Remember that time that I was complaining about being chubby? Well I started doing SlimFast. The shakes in the cans are ok, but when you blend up the powder with milk and ice - YUM :) I'm not hard-core about it, but I've just been watching what I'm eating (no more yummy kettle cooked lays for Stephy. I threw them away - how's THAT for will power??) and I've already lost 2 pounds. We'll see what happens, but I like doing it so far. And I do get to eat something else with the shakes for breakfast and lunch, so I'm not going anorexic on you. Not that you would ever believe that anyways.

I went to find a picture of slimfast to put on here, and I found a couple funny ones on Google's image search.

He's a Good Kid

Warren has been so funny lately. He cracks himself up and has this really fake laugh he uses when he thinks something is funny and he wants us to laugh with him. I haven't been able to capture the face on camera, but it's hilarious. He squishes up his face and gets a huge grin and out comes this horribly fake laugh. Here's a couple of him just being cute and laughing (for real) with mama.

Haircut :)

I'm not a good hair cutter by any means, so why I decided to cut W's hair is a mystery. I felt that if other mamas can do it and their kids don't end up looking weird afterwards then I could probably do it too. It turned out just fine, but I think next time I'll leave the cutting to the professionals.

We bribed good sitting skills from Warren by giving him a sucker. He behaved :)

Calling All Mormon Nerds!

My brother is a freshman at BYU and called to get some idea for fun date ideas. I gave him a few, but he seemed fairly unimpressed. So if any of you out there have some ideas to share, I'd love to pass them along. Apparently a dinner and a movie isn't cutting it, but any of you who may have spent 2 seconds in Provo already knew that. These kids take dating to the extreme.

Here are 2 more funny "Mormonads" doctored by Divine Comedy. I'm amused.

What Warren Learned Today...

Banging his head against the wall makes a fun noise. And when he keeps doing it over and over, Mom and Dad laugh because they find it funny.

Rowan and Warren - Take 3

3 weeks old

6 months

11 months

We went to to Minneapolis this week to the Maroon 5 concert (It was awesome by the way). We hung out with the Stallings and let them have the privilege of watching Warren. Having 4 boys run around is definite entertainment for our little cowboy. Rowan and he became fast friends. (Though all the guys were great to him! Thanks Evan, Connor, & Garrett!)

Workout

Feel the burn...

Into Things...

Warren likes shoes.

Warren knocks over his books and climbs on to the table only to realize he can't go anywhere except out the side. And while he was there he somehow unscrewed the bottom bolt and tried to eat it :) Engineer? (I think it's in his mouth in that 2nd to last picture)
