Popsicle Toes

My feet are cold because today it snowed. Boo! The temperature is currently 40 degrees, but it "feels like" 33 degrees. I'm guessing that includes wind chill and the 60% humidity. I wonder what the weather might be like in Denver right now? Hmm. 71 degrees! And the funny thing is that it "FEELS LIKE" 71 degrees. Ahh...sounds nice. And the humidity is only 9% (my frizzy hair is already excited for the possibilities).

Get Some!

Warren and his girlfriend, Julia. They're in love...so making out is ok.
She kissed me! Even with all this cookie on my face!

Do you think your mom saw? And she caught it on film?? So embarrassing...

Baking Man

Taylor made cookies today (chocolate mint!). Since this is the first time in the 5 years I've known him, it's kinda momentous. Let's hope this is the beginning of many culinary experiences. :) They were yummy, Tay.

Activists

We participated in two great events last weekend. Here are some highlights.
Our good little buddy, Rocco, and his parents recruited a bunch of friends to walk with him for the March of Dimes. We all got sweet shirts and a bajillion snacks. The rain held out and we had a blast walking 6 miles with some of our favorite people.

All the excitement wore Nate and Warren out!

The night before we went to Relay for Life with a bunch of guys from Taylor's law school. I can't say I contributed much, other than walking a couple laps, but we had a lot of fun going. Thanks, Joseph, for organizing everything and for surviving (!!), so we could know you. :)

"Oh wait...I hate Herky! (Go Cougs)" - Warren

Jamie and I look SO hot compared to all the 19 year old girls there. If someone would have told us that ridiculously short shorts and sports bras were the thing to wear to an indoor cancer walk, we totally would have sported ours! (That baby bump would have looked SEXY, Jamie!)

Wanna tiger?

OooOOoH! Will's french fries.

Maybe...just...one.......or twelve...(Thanks, Will!)

At the Park

These are for the grand-people. But feel free to comment on how ridiculously cute our boy is. Enjoy!

Websites that suck up my soul (and W's nap time)

I love these...can't get enough. Seriously.

STUFF WHITE PEOPLE LIKE
(so funny! maybe because I'm white and they're all true)

IMDB (Who was that guy guest starring in law and order last night??)

ETSY (The biggest offender of time sucking. The cutest things - you can find anything!)

CRAIGSLIST (I can't wait to get to Denver and go nuts)

STREET VIEW on GOOGLE MAPS (You can see all the streets in big cities as if you were standing there)

WIKIPEDIA (Source of all knowledge, and settler of marital disputes)

Blogs - even the private ones :) Thanks for keeping me entertained, everyone!

Eat My Dust, Pre!

Yes, we have a future track all-star on our hands. We accompanied Taylor/Dad yesterday to the track since it was such a nice day out. We usually just like to bang on the bleachers, but today W felt the need for speed! Tay was doing some strengthening exercises 100 meters at a time, and Warren would try and chase him down.
*It makes for a sad boy when Dad goes all the way around the track and he realizes there's no catching him. And it breaks his heart every...single...lap. Poor guy, hopefully that won't develop some abandonment complex. Dad always comes back!

Nice form, kid

Ready, Set, Go!

Key to W's running success: Screaming like a little girl the entire time. That's what he's doing in this picture (and all others, really)

magazines

So the URL I had in my old post about cheap-o magazines takes you to an eBay store that doesn't exist anymore. Awesome. I haven't seen any great finds on eBay this week at all, actually. But I went on amazon yesterday, and there's a $7 sale on a few good ones. Check it out.

Thwarted

For the love of Pete, everyone needs to quit with the "private blog" craze! How are normal, well-adjusted stalkers like me supposed to find you? Not that it couldn't happen, but it's presumptuous to think scary and perverted people will be gawking at your pictures (I'm pretty sure I'm neither). And I'm sure there's SOME legitimate reasons for going private, and everyone needs to make their own decisions about their families, but I thought I'd let you know that I don't like it. It's been so fun to find old college friends (and acquaintances, siblings of friends, etc.) and keep in touch through blogs. But you're ruining it.

Oh, and to be less "out-there", we just took our blog off search engine capable. So someone would either have to know our address or click on it from a friend's blog. Does that help anyone?? Maybe... :)

It's Legit

So remember when I posted about cheap magazines on eBay? They totally came, so all you doubters out there can rest easy. $5 parenting 2-year subscription and $7 for a 1-year to Family Circle. I know, not the coolest mags ever, but they were cheap! So I'm enjoying them more than I normally would.

My Funny Guy

Getting a haircut is mostly fun because of the spray bottle. What kid LIKES getting sprayed in the face?? I'm just glad he likes getting haircuts, even if getting soaked afterwards is his reward.

Mama and Courtney

Hooray! Someone actually came to visit us in Iowa (you all still have a couple months left, if you're interested!) My mom and sister came, and it was great to see them. You don't realize how much you love your family until you're ridiculously far away from them. Especially when your baby doesn't know his grandmas and grandpas, aunts and uncles. :( So sad. Soon we'll be out west with our people - where we belong.

People always tell us we look like twins...(sike! Can you even tell we're sisters?)

Rained/snowed the whole time we were in Chicago...boo...

Listening to the soundtrack right now! I love shows, and Wicked was fantastic!

Yum...grandma gives me diet pepsi!!
