Life is Good

This week the sun was shining, my peonies are blooming, my kids were good, my baby was smiling, the trees are green, we met Tay for lunch, we went to Elitch Garden, we made cookies...life is just good. (The Nuggets lost, but I think I'm already over it)

Camille in late May

She is so much cuter in person, these pictures do not do her justice. I just love her and want to cuddle and smootch her all day long!

My father in law asked me earlier in the week how I get her hair to stand up this way. Let's be clear that I have no choice in the matter, and her hair is this crazy regardless of what I do. (Short of dumping hair product all over her baby head)

The Halls!!

Doug and Tamara came out with us this weekend, and we had the best time. We don't get to see these guys often enough. Doug and Taylor were roommates at BYU and have developed a strong (some might consider borderline unhealthy) affinity for one another. Watching these two guys feed off one another and laugh at each other's jokes is pretty fun. And lucky for me he has a "kick-A" wife, Tamara, who I get to hang out with while they're off being awesome. She's fabulous in every sense of the word; I love having these two around.

Blenders? THAT'S RIGHT - Tamara and I are so amazing at the "spinny game" they have at Dave and Buster's that we each won a blender with our tickets. (See pictures below)

Doug and Tay were more interested in shooting things than winning blenders. But they were grateful for the milkshakes we made with them.

Doug helped Warren with his very first tats.

We took a picnic lunch up to red rocks. We left right before a huge (and pretty cool) thunderstorm started.

"Jamal"
(The unstoppable force of awesomeness that fuses these guys into one being)
no joke.

W reunited with his first gf, Tamara. He might not remember her from 2 years ago (has it really been that long???), but she wooed him all over again.

Resemblance?

She's got the hair; the tattoos are a little tacky for her taste.

Go Nuggets!

Pics for Gramma

Here ya go, Mom.

Enjoying an otter pop

Tay thinks she looks like Courtney here.

Chillin at Home

This week has been slightly rough. Taylor has some deadlines at work that have kept him later each night than normal, and W has been sick. Doesn't sound that bad, actually. But W's been getting up at night coughing and it has thrown all of us out of whack. One of us ends up sleeping in his bed with him (while getting coughed on in the face - awesome) or he'll crawl in bed with us. Add a new baby to the mix, and we're all sleep deprived and grumpy by the time W decides he wants to be awake - 6AM, anyone?

We did manage to see Emily and Jared on Saturday when they had their reception here. Amy did a great job putting it all together and it was beautiful. You'll have to trust me on that one since I forgot to bring my camera. But we had fun hanging out with the fam yesterday.

Here's hoping this week we get out of our jammies and back out into the living world.

Simple pleasures - green eggs and chips (fresh out of ham, darn it)

Daddy-Daughter love

We have our very own naked cowboy
Q: Does he ever take that hat off? A: No.

Happy, smiling babe. LOVE her!

We might have a cheerleader on our hands.

Cami!

Poor Cami is definitely a second child. At this point with Warren, we had millions of pictures. I'm trying my best to take a respectable amount, but W and life with 2 kids can be distracting. With the otter pop demands, constant tornado clean up, figuring out what he'll eat, fishing him out of drainage ditches and cleaning the sludge off, wiping his nose, discerning what line from Toy Story he's quoting, going to playgroup, singing songs, bathing the dirtball, and wiping up whatever he's spilled this past minute, cleaning barf off of me, nursing Camille, yelling at W to stop whatever he's doing or he'll he in big trouble when I'm done feeding his sister, putting W in time out, going to the library, rocking baby to sleep, going to Costco, cooking dinner, putting W to bed, bathing Cami, cleaning the house because it looks like a bomb went off, paying the ginormous medical bills that keep trickling in, taking a shower, getting myself into bed before midnight just to get up twice a night and be up and at 'em by 6AM...there isn't a ton of time for photo shoots. But I'll work on it, baby girl. Don't want you to feel jipped!(try as I may, this picture is not flipping...)

I love how she's smiling and W has the look of "Are we done yet?"
