So, this church thing seems to be working. W has had a problem lately with opening the front door and going outside without a parent. He did it again today, and he went to time out for a long time (in a 2-year old's world, that is).
At the end, Steph and I were explaining why he had to go to time out--that it could be dangerous in the front yard without a parent. Steph said, "If there was a mean dog outside and he tried to jump on you, who would help you if mom or dad was not there?"
W: "Jesus."
You're right, little boy. Jesus will help you. But, it's still a better idea to have mom or dad with you so you don't have to ask for a miracle.
He got to come out of time out after that. He's a good kid; it just takes a couple of times for things to sink in.

The Best Song Ever Just Got Better
We heard this song on an episode of Scrubs and immediately bought it on iTunes. You should do the same. That means you, Laura.

Thanks to Jen for hooking me up with my new favorite website.
First there was Engrish

Preschool!
Thursday was the very first day of preschool for little W. I have mixed feelings - ecstatic about the 3 hour break 2x a week, but I'm suddenly feeling very old (even though every other mother in my neighborhood with kids W's age seems to be 10 years older, and I'm still the "young one"). I mean, how did I become a mother of a preschooler? o.l.d. I'm not sad in the least bit (overjoyed is the opposite of sad, right?) but he's just that much closer to college and leaving me forever. THAT will be sad, I think.
A tradition we started - chocolate chip pancakes on the first day of school. I don't know who was more excited, W or Tay.

Are you seeing a theme? It's called - when mom tells me to look at the camera and smile I'll either not look or make a crazy face. He thinks he's funny.
His buddy Carson is in his class. I think it's nice to have one friend to make him feel comfortable, but a bunch of new kids to learn some better social skills.

Cami and I celebrated by going to the grocery store without W and then cleaning our kitchen without W and playing together without W. I'm glad to have some one on one time with my girl.

Glee!
Glee - Don't Stop Believe
Uploaded by Bugabookas. - Classic TV and last night's shows, online.
In my dreams I am a Broadway superstar, but my love for show tunes usually stays confined to my car while driving alone. (Or alone with Cami. She hasn't learned to speak yet, and thus can't ask me to stop singing like W) I've only watched/listened to this 100 times today. Anyone else watch last night?? I have a feeling this will be my show. And I'll assume the soundtrack will be awesome and I can replace my worn out Wicked CD.

Cupcakes are Yummy
I want nothing more for my son than to be a nice boy and a good cook. Anything else he wants to do or be if fine with me. When I bake, I usually ask him to come help me. It means a much bigger mess, but I want him to enjoy cooking. He's been too chicken to hold the beaters until today; he asked to hold them and thought it was really great to push the "power boost" button. And licking the beaters and eating 3 cupcakes is pretty great, too.

To Utah to Utah...
We headed out to Provo last weekend to spend some time with the Warczak clan. My parents were driving Courtney out to start at BYU (making the count 3 out of four kids to become Cougars -Todd's at the U - poor fella), and since Scott and Todd are already out there, we decided to tag along and make it an event. It was so much fun. We didn't have any real plans or schedule, just hang out and have a good time. We got Courtney all her last-minute must-haves for her dorm room, took Scotty grocery shopping, and celebrated Todd's 25th birthday at Texas Roadhouse. We cuddled the chubbo John Michael and took family pictures, too. We were also lucky enough to see Emily, Jared, Wray, Natalie, Chloe, and G&G Walker (Tay's side). Warren was so sad driving home with no more family to entertain him. Just boring us.

Bath time at the hotel. W still asks to go to G&G's hotel room. I'm sure it had nothing to do with all the presents and candy you brought. He just loves you. :)

A little Rock Band @ Emily and Jared's (W still asks to go play the music and eat "spicy chips" at E&J's - guess I should go buy him some salsa doritos)

And now a little video starring Grandma - she kicked our booties the first game of bowling. Not bad for an old lady :). And I took the victory on game #2 - 8 spares! And no strikes - the fates were against me.
