Work...bleh

You want to know what I don't understand? Mothers who WANT to work so badly they stick their kids in day care. You want to know what STEPHANIE wants...to quit my stinking job because every day I want to punch myself in the face. I'm only there twenty hours, so I'm not as cool as all the "full-time" people; I always feel out of the loop on what's going on. And I'm not even good at what I do - it's really technical and boring and I always make dumb little mistakes that make me feel like I should go back to 2nd grade. So why am I putting myself through this? I don't know - cause I'm an idiot. It used to be because we needed a paycheck. I suppose we could have taken out MORE loans to live off of, but that didn't make a whole lot of sense since Tay can stay home with Warren the Cowboy. So everything was fun and games until things changed and we don't NEED my paycheck anymore (which is seriously pathetic anyways - I should have gone to law school because my Sociology degree just isn't cutting it!). So I quit :) You can send congratulations cards and balloons, I'm ok with that.
I really love the people I work with. But it was getting ridiculous. And Taylor's schedule was going to further complicate things. And I'm the boss of me and can do whatever I want. I am a grown up. And although I feel kinda bad for leaving, I really really wanted to. So I am. February 1st is my last day...let the countdown begin.

Yeah for quitting jobs. I'm right there with ya. And I think that's awesome that you can stay home with the little guy. :) Way to go!

You're way nice to stay with them through the holidays! What did they say when you told them?

It seems like everyone's quitting their jobs, maybe it's the new "cool" thing to do. I guess I'm just not hip enough. How come you're staying until February?

Way to go Steph!!! And if you do want to do something you could always watch another little baby or kid. . . . or just Play with Warren all day and watch oprah. It's all good!!!

Good for you! Why stay so long, though? You're very generous.

I love the monkey harness, too. Cutest one I've ever seen--doesn't look like you have your kid "on a leash, like a dog". That's what was said when my kids were little.

Maybe I need to have a kid so I can quit MY job. Todd's glaring at me while I'm writing this, by the way. Why are you staying till February? Oh, wait. Are you getting a Christmas bonus? That's why I'd do it! For the BONUS! Anyways, congrats on the quitting news. Hope you had a fun Thanksgiving in Chicago!

Yay for quitting!

(But the real reason I'm leaving a comment is to let you know my boys and I totally rocked out to your blog music last night. No seriously. We played the barenaked ladies one and the chipmunk one over and over again. They were out of breath by dinnertime!lol)
