She's Home!

Our little Claire finally came home on February 29th. (We are the kings and queens of special days around here. Claire's birthday is Valentines Day, this year Cami's birthday is on Easter, Warren is our Halloween baby, and Claire came home on Leap Day!)
We're so happy she's here - the kids adore her. She's one spoiled little peanut these days. Sure beats the NICU, I think. She gets a lot more cuddle time and a lot more food. She's not complaining.

I, on the other hand, have been a complaining machine. Because I have a wicked sinus infection! Why does the world hate me? And why has my immune system failed to work? This is the 3rd time in the past 30 days that I've been knocked-out, days on the couch, kind of sick. I've never had a sinus infection before, but it is seriously brutal. I'm glad Claire is here, but I'm scared that I'll get her sick. And I just want to smooch and love on my baby!! And since I'm already complaining, my blood clot could take a month or more to go away, they say. And it's not just one clot, it's like 10. Up and down my left leg. They're gross looking, and they hurt. But on the flip side, I have a healthy baby girl at home, so life doesn't seem so bad. I just really wish I could hurry up and get well and stay well. Cause this is killing me.

Take a look at my babe and I'll stop whining.

Leaving the NICU as one big happy family. This is the first time the kids had seen her in over 2 weeks.

Comfy in dad's arms. It's so nice to hold her and walk around without being tethered to a machine.
 Grandma giving her a bath.
 So fresh and clean!

Some things remain constant around here. Beautiful Princess Cami being one of them.

She loves looking out the window. Daylight...weird.

Yay! Sooooo happy she is home. So sad that you aren't feeling good. That makes everything just that much harder to deal with when mommy is sick. Get better soon!

Oh I'm so glad she is home. I'm sure that was a horrible experience having to leave her everyday and having a baby and coming home empty handed. It was hard for me when Beckett got RSV at 3 weeks old and had to be in the hospital for a week. Torture, but so thankful for good people who take care of your baby. She is so cute.

Oh, and I think I remember having a sinus infection after having Beckett. I had never had one before either. Weird. Hope you feel better soon!!

She is such a cutie pie! And you guys really do have the coolest birthdays/special occasions this year. Way to go on that. :)

Have fun with that little girlie. She's adorable and I'm sure she is just soaking in all of this love from her cute family. We love you guys.

PS that picture of Warren holding Claire and smiling is so so sweet. I would frame that one if I were you. And if you don't, maybe I'll frame it and send it to you. ha.
