Dress Transition

My incredibly talented mother-in-law, Amy, made Camille her beautiful blessing dress. I had wanted to re-use my wedding dress to bless my daughter in for a long time. I just needed a baby girl. When we found out that Cami would be a girl, I immediately started looking online for patterns and asked Amy to do the honor of slicing up my dress and putting back together again - in miniature form. Some friends thought I was crazy to cut it up, but I think I definitely made the right choice. Hanging in my closet for 5+ years wasn't helping anyone.

It's BEAUTIFUL. Amy is amazing. She made Brandon and I quilts out of our fraternity/sorority shirts. We LOVE them.

I love it! I wish that I had a wedding dress to do the same thing. (Granted a baby girl would also be necessary.)

I think it's an absolutely fantastic idea. And Cami looked GORGEOUS. Too bad I don't know anyone who could do the same with my wedding dress for baby sister!
