Look out, world. Camicakes coming through. You can't tell on this video so much, but she's VERY proud of herself these days. I can't say I'm stoked that she's walking, but it is pretty cute.

Warren 3:16
Taylor here.
So W's primary class at church is memorizing John 3:16 this month. It must be on his mind today, because when he said his prayers before bed tonight, he dutifully said: " . . . please bless me to not perish, and to not kick, and to be nice, and to not say 'kill' or 'stupid.'" Got to love little kids' prayers.
W's latest catchphrase: "Chill out Camille . . . chill out, okay?" Once, this was followed by the exclamation, to no one in particular, "this is nonsense!" Are kids still this funny when they're 16?
Also, here is the lunch W assembled for himself on Friday. Yep, that's pepperoni, a pickle, a yogurt tube, and a slice of plain bread. He was genuinely thrilled. And, he's been asking to eat more pepperoni about every three hours since.
And, for kicks, here are the Mr. Potato Heads that W concocted this afternoon.

And last, a picture of my beautiful little girl. Don't want her to feel left out.

Cami & Mini Cami Photoshoot
I've been in a crafty mood lately. Luckily, I have a fantastic sensei for a friend who walks me through anything I'm doing. I actually have a couple of them - how I love these girls! Check out the skirt and the doll I made for Cami. She looooves dolls. It's so funny and weird because I never liked them as a kid. But I guess girls really are just like that. Anyways, I'm beyond proud of myself.

Another doll I made for Chloe. Sad, though, because the marker I used totally bled. That'll teach me to try to use a shortcut. W insisted Dora take part in the picture. It's very multicultural up in here.

Makes me sad to know that once that diaper's gone, she's doomed to the no-buttedness that the rest of us live with every day.

Superhero
He got this sweet cape at his buddy's birthday party on Saturday. He liked it a lot, but on Monday wouldn't take it off. That didn't bother me, so we went to the grocery store in all his superhero glory. He sort of caused a scene; people were chuckling everywhere we went. And when one guy said "Hey! It's superman!", Warren surprised me by boldly corrected him, "No, I'm a Superhero!" (said with his fists on his hips and his chest puffed out) Hilarious. He's usually pretty shy to strangers. Guess with the cape comes real superpowers. That King Soopers will never be the same. (For non-Coloradans, King Soopers is a grocery chain, not an actual king)

What I'm Workin' With...
Anyone else go get their Grand Slam Today?? :)
Cami: Just caught her in the garbage eating an apple core that was covered in vacuum dust goop. It was everything I could do to not vomit on the spot. Sick! I walked over and said "Camille!" and she promptly dropped the core and started crying. She knew how busted she was. Here she is eating a much more appropriate cracker. She's happy almost all the time. And she makes friends wherever we go. Particularly old people. They love baby red hair.
Warren: This picture - what in the what?? That face...he's weird. He spontaneously tells me he loves me. (heaven!) Today I replied with the standard "I love you too" and he exclaims "oh mom, I love it when you say I love you too!". He's a sensitive little soul. On one hand it's awesome - cuddles and love much the time. Our favorite is the hug robot. One of us becomes the hug robot and we chase eachother around with robot walk and talk, demanding hugs. On the flip side, he cries and pouts when things don't go his way. Beyond annoying. Or if I yell at him (always with good reason, I assure you), he puts on this sad little face - "mom, it makes me so sad when you yell at me". Then listen to me, little dude. Problem avoided. But he's learning to say "Sure, mom" because I gush over the fact that he listened and complied happily. Sometimes he'll even pick out his own tasks to perform - "mom, tell me to put my boots in the closet" "Warren, put your boots in the closet." "Sure mom!" pauses and waits for the praise...."THANK YOU WARREN! You're the best kid in the universe, you make me so happy, bla bla bla" Then he smiles and takes care of business. What a guy! He's also very good to his sister 99% of the time. Check the video of him making her laugh. Nothing better.

Good day to be a mom. Even though it's snowy and cold, the sun is shining and that helps (thanks Denver!) Candyland awaits...gotta get to it.
Oh, and if you're wondering what the heck that ugly thing is in the corner of the video - it's my new project. $12 for this solid desk. It is currently a hideous shade of chipping blue paint, but it won't always be so. We'll put it in Warren's room when it's all prettied up. I think I'll wait until we move/have a garage to tackle it. And speaking of moving, you might be interested to know that we put an offer in on a short sale home back in December. Didn't want to get our hopes up because short sales take forever, and we've still been looking at other places. Not a done deal yet, but things are looking good. I want my $8k tax credit, so we'll almost definitely be moving sometime this spring. Not too far - about 10-15 minutes away. But we're excited!

Have you guys heard of restaurant.com? So they sell gift certificates to restaurants at a big discount. The norm is a $25 certificate for $10. And there's usually a minimum purchase - $35-$50 in order to use it. All in all, a good deal. But even better, they have sales all the time, and right now it's 80% off. So $2 for a $25 certificate. I don't recognize all of the places on there, but there's over 100 within a 15 mile radius of us. We really like Wash Park Grille, BD's Mongolian BBQ, El Senor Sol, Altitude, and others. And it's been fun to try new places knowing we'll only drop $12 ($2 on the cert and $10 there) on a $35 meal. We've loved it. You all know how cheap we are. So now we can eat at nicer places than usual. (And my mom in Seattle and brother in SLC have found cool places by them, so check it)
Anyways, the 80% off code is "HEART" if you're interested. This one ends on the 14th. But they'll go on sale again. They always do. Happy eating.

Yelling is the New Smiling
Just some cute pictures of my kids being silly. I tried all week to come up with something clever or witty to say...and I got nothing. We're all doing ok over here and had a regular good week. Right now Cami's sitting in my lap while I type (no easy task, I'll have you know), and Warren is checking my heart, giving me a shot, looking in my ears - all with his doctor kit. I wonder if it makes Taylor sad that there are no little kids out there playing "lawyer". Oh well, probably for the best. On to pictures!

Cami is a wiggly maniac. Especially when she gets on a soft cushy surface like a bed or the couch. She flails all over doing Shamu-like body dives out of our arms and laughs like crazy each time she almost dies.

She's sneaky. I told you she loves the bathroom. The other day I turned around and could not find her. I could hear her somewhere, but was nowhere to be found. I finally opened the shower curtain to find this little monster. She prefers opening her mouth as wide as possible and grunting these days rather than smiling and making sweet girly sounds.
